‘A Feast for the Eyes’
StART Art Fair Seoul is delighted to present ‘A Feast for the Eyes’, a curated focus section within the fair that highlights the work of recent graduates from London’s top art schools. Curated by Louis Chapple, the exhibition will focus predominantly on painting and textile works, exploring the mediums’ relationship to colour, form and narrative.
The exhibition title takes its name from a focal piece within the exhibition, Pippa El-Kadhi Brown’s ‘A Feast for the Eyes, and for the Ears (Toccata and Fugue in D Minor)’. With its rich colour palette and use of painterly techniques, the work embodies the notion of the exhibition in its entirety. Through colour, material, composition, the artists in ‘A Feast for the Eyes’ explore nuanced and challenging concepts with theoretical rigour, drawing on a range of subjects including lived experience, cultural identity and memory.
‘A Feast for the Eyes’ provides the opportunity for collectors to engage with the most exciting and promising emerging artists based in the UK right now, and to collect their works before they are out of reach.
Exhibiting artists: Adam Boyd, Alya Hatta, Elina Flyrin, Hanne Peeraer, Karolina Dworska, Mattia Guarnera-MacCarthy, Pippa El-Kadhi Brown, Rosalind Howdle, Uchercie.
