Hyeyoun KIM’s (b.1968) work encapsulates life’s journey, exemplified by a protagonist dog named Salt as he pursues his dreams and confronts challenges alongside his canine companions.

Nature’s perspective reveals that humans aren’t inherently superior, and occasionally, humanity’s actions are misconstrued or even harmful. In an effort to contemplate life’s essence, the artist portrays animals embodying our ideals.

These concepts are first illustrated and then painted with oil, with select portions emphasised using intense enamel colours.
