Eunhyue Shin has been a contemporary artist since 2005, during the past decade and a half she has had 10 solo exhibitions and been included in 17 group shows. She was represented by Agora Gallery in New York from 2017 to 2019, during which time she was commissioned by the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, the installation was on display for the duration of the games.
Shin’s art erases the border between the East and the West hanging between concept and abstraction. Viewing her work as embodiment of the language of architecture, she disassembles and recombines architecture, music and the stories she wishes to tell. Themes and sources of her work are her questions about the world and religious eternity. They constitute a journey to discover the value of eternal immortality, which is to be cherished, and to grow as a human being.
Eunhyue Shin currently lives in Korea and New York.
