Anna Reber (b. 1960 Berne, Switzerland) loves spending time in the outdoors. Her paintings are often inspired by outdoor ventures, the colors she sees in daily life and how things are arranged in nature. Primarily an abstract painter who works with different mediums, Reber builds forms and colours and knits them together through layers of materials in her work.
To explore the world Reber used to work as a flight attendant for Swissair for a few years. During that time she had the opportunity to discover the famous Art Institute in Chicago, which she visited every time on her stop-overs in the city. In 2005, Reber met the Argentinian-Swiss artist Ricardo Abella in Switzerland and started private classes with him. In 2010, she returned to Chicago for a summer term at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2019, Reber exhibited at Scope Miami and was included in the Atlante dell'Arte Contemporanea curated by Daniele Radini Tedeschi and published by De Agostini.
